Building a early International 5600 from a Paystar 5000

Don’t post here much, but thought I would put this build on here. Started building about a month ago, although I had been planning and collecting parts for some time.

decided to stretch the frame and scratch build gas tanks and battery boxes

Scratch built fuel tanks, battery boxes and headache rack turned out well. Now to finish the frame build. 

I started building this drop deck trailer and injection molding machine this year but stopped, didn’t really have a truck that I thought fit the job. I will finish this trailer for this truck, it looks the part.

My order from ST Supply came today with my fenders and fender jig. Liking the looks

The fenders and fender jig are Auslowe parts that I got from ST Supply. The jig is really key to getting everything square and straight. But I had to flat sand the bottom of the fenders so they sat correctly in the jig.

Made some progress this week. I setup the center air axle an 1/8 inch from the ground, not sure that was enough. Next fitting the resin hood to the cab.

I have fabricated four visors for the 5600 International trying to replicate it. I am going with this version, it’s close.

Going with the Auslowe exhaust, nice detail and no seams

Finally overcame the paint adhesion problems of the resin cast hood and got a good finish on. Now wait a few days to add the second color on fenders.

Finally got everything modified to install engine and radiator, cab and headache rack now mounted and hood now fits over engine and radiator. 
trying to replicate a local trucking company who mounts their air lines mid chassis with a box.
