DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 5, 2023 This was a resin conversion from an unknown caster. The chassis was made from spare parts.
Brian Dutz Posted August 5, 2023 Great looking build, Brian! I’m not a Ford guy but the trucks do look tough.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 8, 2023 Thanks Brian! I always liked how these trucks looked, I just hated working on the ones that didn’t have a tilt front end.

Oh man, I can imagine that would be a pain. Great build. Wish we saw more of this era and type of Ford trucks. I’ve always liked the looks of the 80’s Ford medium (and heavy) duty trucks. From a design standpoint, they always seemed to compliment the light duty truck line (and looked good while sharing parts), and the “family resemblance” of the entire truck line said “Ford”. Tough, but also with style.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted August 11, 2023 Thanks Victor! The ones of these that I usually worked on were gas burner 700 series, but vertical much similar. I’m not terribly tall, I would have to climb up on one of these and then almost stand on my head to reach back down to work on the engine. Sometimes I just climbed up and sat under the hood.
