41CHEVY Posted May 4, 2017 (edited) This started out as an AMT DM800. I Shortened the rear of the chassis and lengthened the front to move the axle forward. Narrowed the front axle 3/16 inch on both sides to move the tires in to the correct axle width. The DM nose was modified to make it taller and more slab sided and the cab was scratch built. The drum from the Rex was lengthened 1 3/4 inches.. Cab tilts to the side and hood/fender opens. First build I completed in our new home in Maine last fall. DRIPTROIT 71 Posted May 5, 2017 Wow That looks Awesome! You and I must have very similar taste. This one hasn't been directly on my to do list, but I was thinking that it would be cool to build one some day.
41CHEVY Posted May 5, 2017 I like non main stream rigs. I have a 6 axle Mack DMM concrete pump unit I build a few years ago and a pair of 90% scratch built KW heavy oil field rigs. Paul
