My newest project is one that I started last year. The new retooled AMT CO4070A. The color that I chose is Testors One Coat Lacquer De Ja Blue. I used the kit decals to replicate the box cover art albeit not Red. Will post as I progress on the model.

Thank you. I appreciate it. It's a great kit lots of opportunities to expand on a number of different levels of building it your way.

Just got this Revell Kw W900 the other day. Looking to paint her as a fleet unit from one the colors shown in the picture. Unsure of which one. In addition do I paint the frame in semi gloss Black or same color as the cab & hood? Help as always most appreciated.

The start of my "Orange Crate" 1980 KW W900 Aerodyne. The frame color is Testors One Coat Lacquer Flaming Orange. Interior is Krylon Leather Brown, with Craft Acrylic Burnt Orange for the seat Inserts and the sleeper blanket, and pillow. I will post more as I progress. Hoping for a completion tomorrow (or as close as I can get her). I have weathered the engine, and parts of the frame.

Okay so this project was put away for awhile but I just pulled her out again, this morning. Paint was laid down last year. This build is an outside my normal box that I do with truck kits. Should have maybe 80% of her done by EOD on Sunday. Will post pics at that point on my progress. Going out on a limb as I believe this may be the best "snap together" I've ever done. I love these kits.

Hello all, hope all are well. I am starting my FAVORITE model tuck of all time. The International 4070A. This was really the model that got me going way back in 1976 as the ERTL issue. Fully knowing that I am not the most talented builder is where my trepidation lies on this build. I painted the cab last year and she was put away. Impressed by what Round 2 has presented us sans a lot of the chrome from the 1970's issued kit. I will use the Loadmasters decals as the pictures of the model inside the instructions booklet are what has always been an awesome memory. The only thing I was perplexed by is why they never made the pictures in the instructions in color. I always envisioned the solid painted cab as Testors Red. My example will obviously be Blue and I had a can of Testors One Coat Lacquer DeJa Blue aching to be used. Probably spokes all around for this fleet unit. Will post as I go along. Thanks for looking.

Hi everyone hope all are well. I could use some help with assembly of the AMT Ford LNT8000 side mirrors. The instructions are vague and uncooperative. When I tried to put the middle bracket in it did not want to fit properly. Any suggestions/experiences will be extremely appreciated. Thank you. Regards, Jerry

LA’s Awesome degreaser found at Dollar General. The tanks for the most part lost the chrome in about a couple of hours.
-
Thanks. Axle assembly more or less done. Dechromed the tanks, and the exhaust stacks & air intake.
-
Continuing the progress. Test fitting parts. So far so good. Next concern will be front axle with turnable wheels and the heat swage process.

Now the anxiety…umm sorry fun begins.

I also have the Rat Fink Transtar I’m getting in a trade. So that will give me another one that I can hem and haw over. Colors, livery, etc.

Today I started the power plant for my Ford LNT8000. Next she goes into primer then paint.

Probably Rustoleum Brilliant Blue. The one that I currently have on my work bench has a Cat Yellow motor.

Thank you it’s one of 4 I’ve done -
Just finished my Revell USA Peterbilt 359. Just need to locate the kit decal sheet in my stash to add all the oval decals. But calling her done. Probably my best model ever. I am very satisfied.

Thank you. The KW or the 4070A?

I also have the re done AMT IH Transtar 4070a that I have cracked open and started somewhat. My clear favorite semi tractor of all time. I am hesitant to move forward as quickly as I should have been all along. But I do not want to screw it up. This one I am set on color(s) and livery. Royal Blue, and the livery will be Loadmasters. I just have to get my courage in order to proceed.

Vince47 thank you for the reply. I actually miswrote what I actually meant. I meant to write an O/O leased to a company outfit. I'd like to get decal stripes for her from an aftermarket decal company but don't trust myself to work with anything I'd buy on the internet. I have to consider it long and hard on what I want to attempt.

Thank you all. Next up the Cruiseliner I just bought. Color combo to be decided on. -
Hello and hope everyone is well. At a nearby Hobby Lobby today and picked this up. First off, I'm not gonna lie 40% off is 40% off. Secondly the usual suspects were not there so after seeing this little lady last Saturday and was hoping she be waiting. Of course, she was. That being said a few things. I had a started version back in 1978 which was given to by a friend who painted her with Testors bottle enamels and used water to clean the brushes. Okay to each his own. Therefore, I turn back to the members of the page. Firstly, I could use suggestions on the build process. Issues, fit, ease of building it. What colors would be suggested? As opposed than its predecessors the F700, and those from the 1950's I am fully aware this tractor was geared towards the O/O. Also I would appreciate any pictures if you don't mind. Thank you in advance.
