    1973 Ford C-900

Yep, right before the shift and on a place on the truck at a height they could reach without a ladder. Perfect.

    1973 Ford C-900

Nice! I like the crooked lettering and the Ms Piggy artwork. A fitting name for a hungry truck of that color. Fill ‘er up and get her dirty. A figure (with extra crack) would be fitting.
  3. Nice modifications and use of spare parts. Very resourceful.
  4. Great job on that. Unique for sure, as far as scale models are concerned. Is the body and fully scratch built or did you use some modified kit parts?

    1955 White 3000

Nice weathering. It’s got a decent amount of detail and potential for a small-scale kit.

    Revell Peterbilt 359 Build

I like the blacked out wheels and single headlights.

    Kenworth W900 Heavy Haul

Nice build, I like the stretch and the spare on the frame. The display is great, very appropriate for a heavy haul tractor.

Mad Max The Road Warrior: Mack R600

Nice work, and a great display for it, too.
  9. Don’t think there would be a problem sharing the sites. I think it would be helpful.

    1937 GMC COE

    Keep it going!
  11. Yeah, there been several names in the aftermarket that have unfortunately stopped production recently. However, there is a lot of guys that have recently emerged on the 3d printing side of things.

    1966 Kenworth Drag Truck

That looks like a heck of a lot of fun. Nice work, very unique build!

    Wilson flatbed upgrade

Looks great. The DCP stuff is excellent. Nice mods, and a great idea using that tape for the deck.

Welcome to the forum! No, I haven’t used it, nor do I know of anyone who has. My concern is it might be too thick, and obscure details. Of course not having tried it, I can’t say for sure. I’d recommend staying with hobby paints, the brands like Testors, Revell, Mr. Hobby, or Tamiya TS spray that you’d find in a hobby shop or online hobby retailer. Paint and primer that is separate, but the same brand and type is best. They’re safer for plastic and designed for model kit use, unlike other paints from the hardware store. Not to say, you may find sources and brands that work fine from the hardware store.

    1944 Diamond T 6x6 4 Ton Wrecker

Nothing short of a museum-quality build. I’ve enjoyed watching the project come together. You are expertly committed to your craft.

    1944 Diamond T 6x6

The grommet detail is particularly impressive. Overall, stunning detail.

    New Member Introduction

Welcome aboard. I hope you find the site helpful. As you’ve already found, Brian, who posts as Driptroit 71, would be the resident expert on backdating a Freightliner to old school CF specs. Best of luck on the project. I think you’re off to a great start by coming at it with the good perspective of taking it slow, and with a willingness to learn.

    1944 Diamond T 6x6

Excellent progress. There’s much to be enjoyed when shaping and forming raw material by hand into those parts, I’m sure.

Lots of nice stuff out there in 1/64 scale.

    Hello from Belgium

Nice build. Looks great, right from the box. Welcome to the forum.
  25. This show was huge! I had a great weekend. First time making the trip for me, but I plan on returning next year. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys trucks of all eras and types…Show/Custom, Classic, Fleet, Working Show, Wreckers, Dumps…the list goes on and on. The show was capped off by parade of lights from St Ignace, across the Mackinac Bridge to Mackinaw City. Here are some highlights, only a very small sample of what was on display:
