have a look.pleased with how this one turned out. Added Modeltruckin chassis decals, plaskit lights, alum. stack.Gave the battery box and air cleaner a "wrap"using 4300 decals, they matched the kit colour very well.

why do you guys build model trucks? My interest in truck modeling started from being in a trucking family, watching my dad build them when I was real young.I started building cars, got my first truck model (a diamond reo) at age 11.Stoped building as teen ager.Picked it back up with cars.Got back into the trucks again when they reissued the reo again in the late ninety's,other than a few cars its been exclusively the big rigs.

this is a fairly old build. If my stuff turns out as nice as this one I'm happy,as its my favorite
-
I saw a pic of the 1/1 truck and knew I had to copy the stripes 300" wb,amt bunk, camaro seats, glitter steering wheel, scratch built aux. trans.,visor and fenders from the parts bin

.great stuff.I've looked over many times and every time its like wow
-
I bought a bill signs at a real nice price.I've always liked that kit because of the spread tandem, the problem is I'm not that much of a pete fan. That being the case a few mods are in order. Mack DM800 V8 and steering box Mack DM600 wheels ,front and rear axles that have been narrowed Will be a long hood RL700L
-
I'm just about got the body work done .pics soon.Mack westerns has straight frame rails so the pete frame works better for me
-
this has caught my interest.such a rare kit to see being built, but that's what thet are for after all.
-
single axle day cab, short wheelbase 86" cab longer wheelbase 104" cab.Sleeper cabs will have many mods.Scratch build some air filter parts for the 86" today.

-

nice work. This is the finest model I have built to date.I have a couple 4300 yet to be built, hope they are as good.I took the easy way out and just turned the front wheels.I did the ertl paint scheme but chickened out and copied the template on to Tamiya tape.As a side note every truck kit the axle is too wide -
these 2 projects were basically built just to see if I could do it.The engine will be in a kw k100 eventually. The cab who knows. built cab from 4 old brittle basically junk 352 cabs I got in a parts lot... engine is an allis-chalmers MK25000 450 horse "big al" very big and rare back in the day...

testor tube glue some times, but mostly Tamiya "green" liquid.Good old white glue for glass.Dollar store super glue and epoxy is just as good as name brand stuff.

I like this one Joris.Seen many of them on the road.Pretty much nailed it
