I saw a pic of the 1/1 truck and knew I had to copy the stripes

I bought a bill signs at a real nice price.I've always liked that kit because of the spread tandem,the problem is I'm not that much of a pete fan.That being the case a few mods are in order.

Mack DM600 wheels ,front and rear axles that have been narrowed

freightliners are my favorite subject.you nailed the look

I watched this on FB.You pulled of a beautiful freightliner.nice and clean building basics and details all add up to something to be proud of

nice work.This is the finest model I have built to date.I have a couple 4300 yet to be built,hope they are as good.I took the easy way out and just turned the front wheels.I did the ertl paint scheme but chickened out and copied the template on to Tamiya tape.As a side note every truck kit the axle is too wide

testor tube glue some times,but mostly Tamiya "green" liquid.Good old white glue for glass.Dollar store super glue and epoxy is just as good as name brand stuff.

have a look.pleased with how this one turned out. Added Modeltruckin chassis decals,plaskit lights,alum. stack.Gave the battery box and air cleaner a "wrap"using 4300 decals,they matched the kit colour very well.

I'll ad to the above comments about versatility.You can build a truck pretty much as you like.Different engines, colour  ,wheels, seats, wheelbase, what ever.You can only build a stock 85 mustang a few ways and keep it correct

these 2 projects were basically built just to see if I could do it.The engine will be in a kw k100 eventually. The cab who knows.

built cab from 4 old brittle basically junk 352 cabs I got in a parts lot...

engine is an allis-chalmers MK25000 450 horse "big al" very  big and rare back in the day...

unfortunately you wont get a scale radius without kinking.the inner has to shrink the out has to stretch.the best option is to get plastruct tubing and elbows then foil or alclad them
