Nice! Love the way that grille came out.

Other than replacing the broken glovebox handle and addressing the legendary Impreza driver's side seat belt squeak, I haven't really done much with it as far as mechanical work. It's about due for an oil and filter change- hopefully I'll get around to that before the snow flies.

Tim's latest- a '66 Reo cabover. He started out with a resin Diamond T cab and modified the grille to the Reo version. The gravel trailers are scratchbuilt.

Nice! Big rigs can be a little addictive so I will advise caution, but you'll have quite a bit of fun with them.
Now, back to those women figures... are the women depicted large, or just large scale...? I I mean, it's all good either way, just curious.

How did I miss this when it was originally posted???? Very nice work on this one.

The Prostar and Fleetstar have see little action since the last time, but the Paystar has grown a few appendages.
The old 'binder is now armed with a 105 recoilless rifle mounted atop a platform over the cab... that should keep any marauders at bay. I also added a "blast screen" over the windshield, and used an air cleaner from a junked Payhauler 350 kit.
A little "corrugated tin" was used to make some rear fenders.
Here's an overall shot, showing the fenders and bumper. The taillights are just self-adhesive rhinestones from a craft shop. The platform is made up of an old Peerless headache rack and a G-scale stairway from Plastruct. The exhaust pipe is slash-cut Evergreen styrene tubing.
It also has a name now...

Lansing Pride, baby!
Keep the round lights- squares look out of place on any DR but a Giant. That being said, single round headlights might be interesting. It's really hard to improve on the front end of a Diamond.

The White will eventually get it's own lowboy, painted to match, with a used John Deere backhoe strapped to it.

Picked one up today... one cab, one hood, just as Mr. Malone would have wanted. I basically felt like I paid 40 bucks for a Detroit V12 and a couple of Bandag logos, but poking around in the kit, I'm seeing way more useful widgets for other projects than what I thought originally. Pure '70's overkill through and through, this thing.

I fully intend to get at least one next week. Since I'm mainly interested in the engine and a few other doodads, I'm not going to be bothered if I get two cabs and no hoods, etc..
That being said, I think I can come up with a use or two for the remainder of the kit.

Looks promising.

Welcome aboard and don't forget to tell a few friends.

Very cool. Tastefully done and not over the top.

Nice!

Sorry sports fans... no sleeper for the Fleetstar. I'm leaning more toward something like a wet tank.

Nice!
Cool to see one of these given the updated resto-mod treatment.

I've spent the weekend so far piddling around with three projects, all of which turned out to be Internationals. So...
The Fleetstar is the AITM cab kit, on the Transtar Eagle 4300 chassis I had left over from the "Hidden Agenda" 4300. The wheels are the five-hole discs from a Paystar, which also coughed up the fuel tanks, air tanks, and battery box. I think I may cut down the wheelbase- it's a bit too "East Coast" for me as it sits right now, but I suppose we'll see.
ProStar day cab, using the cab and steel bumper from Models By Dave. This will be hooked up to my 53' reefer if all goes to plan.
And finally, a post-apocalyptic styled Paystar 5000, which is being built from spare parts and castoffs from other projects.

VERY minor update.
A swan hood ornament was stolen from a Monogram '39 Chevy sedan delivery and perched atop the grille. A cab visor from Models By Dave also showed up today and will (hopefully) find it's way on there soon.

Basic buildup of the AMT kit with an old AITM hood and bumper. Wheels from the White Frieghliner Dual Drive were used, along with smoke stacks from a snap KW. Door handles were updated to the pushbutton type by using handles from a Revell '64 Chevy pickup. Paint is Chrysler Intense Blue Pearl was used for paint. The decals (the driver's side door graphic silvered on me ) came from the original 1999 issue of the Revell '41 Chevy pickup.
All in all, pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Raider is finished- aside from some silvering on the driver's side door decal it came out fairly well. Finished "Showroom" pics to come.

On 6/14/2016 at 10:13 PM, AutocarJones said:I may, but theres still so much resin to buy. Some cabs I have to draw the line at one.I would love to build 10 of them honestly.
I know the feeling. I could order five of every conversion kit Dave sells and still feel like it's not enough.
