Done less the visor. . .lost it and the replacement.

Chassis is painted in Testers Acryl Metallic Blue and most all the running gear is detailed and in. Started making up the air intake, exhaust and brackets. Signal lights are almost done, as are Mirrors and brackets along with the outer door handles and P.E. wiper blades. I'm pleased with the results. Paul

I like all your added details. The horns under the air filter can is eye catching along with the Maglite clipped to the seat base. Paul

Chassis is moving along. Made up battery boxes, steps, fifth wheel plate and turntable, dryer, air filter can, hinges , 9 shots to coil up the mud flap holders and fabbed up splash guards in front of rear wheels. Got the interior almost complete including the GM/Fuller Electro-Shift 10 speed selector set up. Probably forgetting a lot of parts added too.
-
Got the details on the air tank mounts added, rear cab pad, the exhaust "rattle box" done, fifth wheel plate mounted and partial details added and the fuel tanks built and detailing started. Started the cab. Cut the sleeper area down, made a grill for it and added vent window posts. The windshield divider was a bit of work as the windshield is Vee'd only 10 degrees.

Cut down a 8V71 and made it into a 6V71. The other part in the works is an exhaust "rattle box" that gives the Detroit Diesels a really slick sound like nothing in the world. Paul

Really so nice work! Your aircraft modeling touches sure make the interior P@P! Keep your up dates coming. . .And Welcome Paul

Fantastic!! Change the name to Pine Hollow Auto Service and it's 100% Paul

Very nice work and great concept! I my humble opinion a set of wheel sanders would be a perfect period touch. Paul

Basically 99% scratch built form micro I beam, tube and 160 thousands plastic carved into main cross member and straight pins for pivots. All suspension moves and all linkage steers as the real ones.

I'll have some photos tomorrow of it. Thanks to pins and power tools it is not too bad. Paul

Yes with air ride. Making up the assembly now. Paul

Got the rear modified with the trailing arms, air bags and rear sway bar unit. The entire assembly is held in temporary with ,020 pins to locate other components. Paul

While the Bandag defiance is sitting for a month or so the let all the putty and filler dry and shrink I'm starting a GMC Tilt Cab Cruiser or Crackerbox.
First thing is to start the distinctive " fish belly" chassis, The start of the cross members and air ride pads and rear trailing arm mounts..

Dang! I always looked at using the pin with the little ball on the end. NEVER thought of just a plain ole pin!

Coming alone great!! How did you do the neckers knob? Great little detail. Paul

Built as a picked over junk yard dog. Paul

Did some work on the rear fenders. Still quite a bit more to do though. The grey is Gunzi liquid putty, second time I'm using it. Seems to work well. Thicker than primer and thinner than putty in the tube.

Weathering looks excellent! well thought out to look realistic!
I have an extremely weathered ACar that would look great as a load for it. Paul

Started on the Chute fairing and rear wing. Made the 2 outer mounts and the wing. Wing is two pieces of 030 with a piece of .080 rod to space them. A split piece of 5/32" tubing blends the frnt of the wing. Sides are 020 plastic.

Started rear body fabrication. Doesn't show up well in photos but many of the panels in front of the engine have compound curves. I ended up making small angle glue blocks to help the curves along. Paul

That is Squadron White putty. I like it because it dries quick , sands easily and so far no shrinkage.
