  2. Had this and two other K.W.'s out of the case for dusting. Here is the Revel Kenworth K100. Chassis is stretched cab is 2 combines and the 16/92 was copied from a similar powered Bonneville F350  pick up truck racer Allison Automatic from Auslowe, Stacks are K&S Aero Struts for R/C aircraft. Decking is polished .010 roof valley sheathing. Decals are home made and paint is ancient Cal Custom Peach Pearl.  Paul

  3. After building one I found a few interesting things.  The Utility Body fits all trucks with an 8 foot bed. BUT if you reverse the front and back ends it now will fit a 6 foot short bed truck.

Windshield install is trying, I found part of the issue is the thickness of the front 'A' pillars isn't consistent, the right side on both the 60's and 70's cabs is thicker. I sanded both down to be thinner, slightly radius-ed the side "gasket" on the windshield and from the front popped the top in and than slightly deflected the cowl (No firewall in place) and popped the bottom in from the front. Seems to work easier than the install from the back as per instructions. Worked on the 1965 and the 1970 kits.   Paul

  4. Moebius kit build to be from the time when Ford made OTR and farm tractors. Added full engine compartment details, made up dual exhaust because nothing sounds better than an 352 FE with glass packs! Paint is 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Yellow and decals are from 1970 F100 4x4 kit.
Tools in bed are scratch built.

All done only one minor issue and I'm also having it in the 1970 F100 4x4. is the windshield fits so tight that I had to relieve the cab opening and sand the windshield flange area down. Like I said very minor.
Paint is Royal Blue enamel from Ace Hardware, bed wood is a decal from Gofer Decals and the tires are a direct fit off the AMT Crusin' Econoline van.    Paul

  7. I shot for the look of a unit assembled from basically spare parts. Kind of thing that will earn money with minimal investment. Louisville chassis and cab, Cummins Non Turbo, Fuller trans, Mercury sleeper and early Pete Air ride.  Biggest mods was the dog house to clear the Cummins.      Paul

    Great start!!

Thanks. I did resist the impulse to correct the front spring units as they are coil overs not springs and separate shocks but decided that no one can see them when it's all assembled. Victory over OCD  :)  :)
