Awesome build Brian!!

I used the air tank off of the AMT R-Model Mack on my CF truck for the tank behind the cab. End caps can be made from stacking flat styrene, then sanding it down to the shape that you want. Sorry to take so long to answer. I haven't been on in a while.

Resin Motor Ranch has them. They show "out of stock", but I am told that if you contact them that they will fix you up.

Thanks! I found it on Ebay. It was mastered by Charles Rowley. I don't think that anyone is currently casting it.

Amazing work as always Charles!!

Welcome aboard! We would love to see some of your builds and your fire trucks as well!

I never have, but I have wanted to try one. The limits of space keep me from building very many trailers. My plan was to use the frame from the AMT Fruehauf flatbed and then add standards.

Looks great! Nice work!!

That often happens naturally in life as the elements take their toll on paint, or when parts are replaced or repainted. The weathering is excellent overall, with the subtle dents in the tailgate are looking great. Fine work.
Thanks Vince!

Love the well-used look -- you really nailed it.
How did you achieve the dented look on the tailgate and dump bed sides? Is that some kind of fabric?
Johnny
Thanks Johnny! I use a very thin aluminum similar to flashing material. I glue it to the frame work and literally dent it after the glue has dried. The same effect can be done on the inside as well. Here is the inside of another ford bed that l did.

This model is so realistic that a normal person (not like us) would never know it wasn't an actual truck.
Extra points for the little globs of dirt up on top of the air cleaner -- hehe -- that's what you get when you drive your clean truck home up your dirt driveway.
Sweet.
Johnny
Thanks Johnny!

Thanks! The door decals were made by Charles Rowley.

Kudos on the hydraulic tank and exhaust system.
And thanks for the little plexiglass bug screen that mounts to the back of the bulldog -- I had forgotten about those things, but they really worked!
On the B models you had to mount them with the little wings facing forward so the hood(s) wouldn't hit them when you opened them up, but the R models eliminated the problem by going with a tilt hood 👍. (At least I think that's why they went to a tilt hood.)
Johnny
Thanks!

Thanks guys!!!
Thanks Charles! The aluminum is just a little heavier gauge than those aluminum throw away pans that you get at the grocery store. I've used for several things, including a leak in my roof.
