Love the weathering, especially the dirt on the tires and running gear.
Well done 😎

Your weathering is fantastic, too. Just the right amount to look realistically used, including the diesel spill down the fuel tanks and the grease on the fifth wheel. Not to mention, you don’t see many models of a 9600, so that’s unique. You’ve even got a bag of Doritos in the cab!
Thanks Victor!! I had been to build one of these for years, but I wanted it to be a workhorse and not show rig. I came across this cab in a trade and decided to build a working log truck.

Q: Did Ford have to lean the engines over to get them to fit in there? Whassup with that? That's an interesting detail for sure.
Johnny
Thanks!
Tilting the engine was pretty common. Ford did it in the LN models as well. The H models didn’t have a dog house, only a small hump in the floor. The engine was tilted for clearance. -

Thanks! It is the AMT C-Cab cab, with conversion parts from “ Too Many Projects,” (modelerrob on Ebay) to make it an H-Model. It is on the latest release of the 4070a chassis. I swapped out the rear suspension with an old Ertl walker beam Hendrickson suspension. The engine is an AMT Cummins made to resemble a 220. It is mounted at a tilt.

Lovin' the Autocar 😋 That must be from the Carolina owner's private collection -- it doesn't have to go up and down the road unless it wants to.

Thanks Victor!! I wish that I could say that I have an artistic eye, but I just got lucky.

Thanks Brian!! As of now no one is producing AITM’s products.
