A little more done although it is hard to tell.

Charles, your work is always so clean and crisp, it is definitely an inspiration to the rest of us.

Thanks Vince! Thanks to JT, I’m going with orange. Here is a little progress.

Looks Awesome!! Those lift brackets really add to the realistic look. -
I have planned all yellow, but I’ve been strongly considering orange. I will probably go black on the chassis as this will be mostly an asphalt hauler.

This one is a fiberglass cab on a 4300 chassis. It is powered by an IH Red Diamond 450 gas engine.

Thanks!! Thanks Chuck!!

This is going to be a curb side build but I did cobble together a Red Diamond 450 engine for it. It is by far not perfect, but keep in mind it will only be seen from underneath.

Thanks!

Thanks Vince!! The 450 was actually the Super Red Diamond. It was 450C.I.D. with 182hp @ 3000 rpm and 388 ft. lb. of torque at 1600rpm. This compared to the available Cummins C160 which had 160hp and 376ft. lb. of torque at 1400rpm. There was also the optional supercharged C180 Cummins that had 180 hp and 425 ft. lb. of torque @ 1700 rpm.

I guess if I would have paid attention to the first part of your post I would have seen that it was going to be a 379.😃 Looking forward to seeing another great motorhome build! -

Your engine looks great! I had one of these years ago from Clint Freeman. I used Ken Smith’s article as well back then. Given the transmission, is this going in one of the Internationals or do have other plans? -
Thanks Brian!! A little progress.

Brian I really like this one! The colors the weathering all fit together nicely! It looks great on the Astro/Titan chassis! Great work!

Thanks so much Charles!

Thanks Charles. Since these don’t have lenses cast in them, my original plan was to chrome these bezels and add clear lenses. This fiberglass is pretty hard to work with. I mean hard. Would these be accurate if I did that? With regular resin that has cast in lenses I usually drill out the lenses and replace them with clear ones if I don’t have a kit substitute to replace the whole thing. Thank you for your advice! I consider your work to be some of the best. Much better than mine.😀 Brian

Thanks Tom!! Thanks Vincent! My thought on the bumper, since it was the shiniest part on the truck was that it was a recent replacement after the old one was damaged. While the new one came with holes, new lights weren't in the budget. -
That is a beautiful Mack Brian!

This is a replica of a truck that my dad drove back in the early 80s. I rode many a mile in that truck.
