Oh that's just beautiful. You are so good at getting the road dirt look just right. Love the diesel fuel overflow in the dirt on the tanks and the fresh grease job on the fifth wheel.
Those drive tires look like recaps. Nice touch! I wonder if McLean was into recaps. I know a lot of those big carriers gave up on recaps and just went over to all new tires. Not sure about McLean, though -- I never drove for them.
Congrats on a terrific model!

Thanks, Mark.
I like those smaller sizes mostly because they take up less room 😋, plus you can get away with of with a lot of detail stuff -- like in the interiors -- 'cuz people can't see inside. That's a plus for some older model builders (not saying who) who don't have a steady hand.
I guess 1;43 is my favorite because it's kind of right in the middle. All those trucks up on the shelf there are 1:43s, as well as way too many others.

Thanks, Mark -- good to know.

Lookin' good!
The air lines turned out just right with the dark colors. Love the random sliding strap cranks on the Reitnouer!

Great job !
The taillight bar and rear mud flaps look just right, too.
Did you say earlier that you had ordered those glad hands from somewhere?

Beautiful! Great detailing on all the little stuff -- nice work.
Love those bullnose KWs -- something about the swan sitting next to the air cleaner sticking right out of the top of the hood makes me smile every time 😀

WOW -- what a terrific model!
That's the good stuff right there.

I love that truck!
Also great job on the background and layout with the wind turbine and the lagoons. It took me a while to figure out how you did that.

Love the roof 👍

Really comin' together!
Those air lines look just right to me. What gauge wire did you use for them?

Nice upgrade!
Also, love the two-hole Budds. -- Old Skool!

Thanks, Bob.
Wish I'd had a trailer this nice back in the day. I think I would have been OK with those polished alloy wheels and the toolboxes in between the spreads.
My own trailers -- not so much, but hey, run what you brung, right?

WooHoo -- finally got a load!
Finally got a load for my now 40' Wilson flatbed. I don't know what these things are -- some kind of coils on frames or platforms, maybe generators or something. I found them on another model, already tarped and chained, so I'm like "That'll work!".
They came with these long black bungee cords with hooks, I guess to keep the tarps from moving around in the wind, so I shortened them and put them on there too.
This is all in 1:64 btw.

I used Krylon a few years ago to do the sleeper on this model. I chose Krylon because I think it has a better gloss than RustOleum, and because one of the Krylons matched the existing color of the cab best. You can see in my poor camera photo that it doesn't quite match the cab color but that it did come out with a really nice gloss finish. That said, I didn't have to mask around any windows or other trim for this one, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Krylon with intricate masking if it had the color I was looking for.

Wow -- just wonderful..
My eye is drawn to all the tiny details -- the tools, the cables, the fittings, all that. Love the little red and green caps on the bottles. It's fun how the smallest and most ordinary colors stand out against the olive drab panels.

Oh yeah !
Two of the details I especially like are the chain and hook setup on the front bumper and the two contoured aluminum plates, of two different patterns, on the fuel tank and step.
Way ta go..

That's the kind of detail that makes the difference between an OK model and an amazing one. Keep up the good work, sez me.

Wonderful ! The dashboard and the gauges are beautiful, and then just for fun there's that little stamped plate over in the right hand corner. I can't make out what it says, but it's like a shift pattern or caution label of some kind. Too cool..

Sweeet! I always loved the looks of those bullet-nose ( bubble-nose?) Petes. You never see them around anymore, probably for good reason :).
I drove an H model Mack for a year or so; sort of like that, but not a Pete. Petes were much nicer.
Good build. The train horns are a nice touch -- they help keep the lane clear next to you.

Question: Did you make those white plastic parts yourself? I went back through your earlier posts on this build and saw some of them sitting in a container but I didn't know whether they came out of a kit or you had made them. You must have made the parts for the engine , and they look really well done.

Nice catch!
If the main body parts are already that nice yellow, how about going with some kind of black two-tone. That way it'll not only be my favorite colors, but you'll only have to mask and spray it once and you won't have to mask between the colors. OR you could just wrap the part you want black with some of that fabulous VViViD gloss black tape and not have to paint at all -- OK, I know, that would be extremely lazy, but it would look just as good as a rattle can paint job and be way easier.
Just a thought.
