    1944 Diamond T 6x6

Question: Did you make those white plastic parts yourself? I went back through your earlier posts on this build and saw some of them sitting in a container but I didn't know whether they came out of a kit or you had made them. You must have made the parts for the engine , and they look really well done. Johnny

    New Pipes For Cannonball Jimmy

Thanks, Driptroit. Love dem cannonballs! That one was originally a diecast model made by NEO. They make really nice stuff. I've just picked at it a little -- still a lot more to do. The interior's next. Johnny

Thanks, Driptroit ! I wanted the old Mercury sleeper look but since I couldn't find a sleeper kit that size (1:43) I went with the tried-and-true white pine and Molotow method Johnny

GMC Topkick Rollback with 64 1 ton GMC

Wow -- your models are amazing -- the old Chevy is too kool ! Johnny
  11. Oh Yeah that's for sure. I remember that sound so well. Thanks! Johnny
  12. What a fine weekend ! Do you remember what engine that was in the old Autocar? Is that a 6V-92? I had a 6V-71 once and the one in the Autocar looks different somehow. Also, isn't it unusual to have Detroit Diesel power in an Autocar? I tend to think of them as being Cummins or maybe Cat powered. Hmmm.. Just curious, Johnny

Really sweet models, Bill. Good job on the black rubber windshield gaskets on the old KW. Nice touch. Johnny

    Ford LT9000 Dump Papco

Wow ! Love the well-used look -- you really nailed it. How did you achieve the dented look on the tailgate and dump bed sides? Is that some kind of fabric? Johnny
  18. I have my tech expert / granddaughter over today to show me how to post photos from my phone to this forum. Lemme try this one and see how it goes. If it works I'll send some more later. Johnny

    My Revell USA Peterbilt 359

Great job, Jerry -- lookin' good! I like the orange oil filter bracket to match the air filter bracket and the look of the black air bags with the orange frame. Also the weathered air intake tube. Love the fuel stickers and the little American flags -- nice period touch. That kind of detail really highlights the model. Johnny

    Let's see if this works

Thanks, Vincen47. It was fun having her teach me how to do this. She uses the word "Duh!" a lot in her answers to my questions. Duh! Johnny

    1971 C-O 4070a Glosson Motor Lines

Wonderful. This model is so realistic that a normal person (not like us) would never know it wasn't an actual truck. Extra points for the little globs of dirt up on top of the air cleaner -- hehe -- that's what you get when you drive your clean truck home up your dirt driveway. Sweet. Johnny
