OTR units do not make good tri axle dump trucks!
JPR replied to 41CHEVY's topic in 1:1 Truck General Discussion
HOLY !! A bit over loaded?? What happened here?? Light duty frame and heavy load don't play well together? -
That would be cool........................
-
I have a couple reference pics.... this little ditty happened day before yesterday......... I think there is a lesson here......
-
me too........... we had a truck crash near my house just today......................
-
Me too.... not often we see a chain drive..... just a few miles from my place I found an OLD chain drive Kenworth mine truck..... I would like to try and get close to it, but it is on private property and rarely anyone around to ask......
-
Thanks Casey, I guess it was about time.............. when I read the post about another one biting the dust, I thought, no I don't want to see this one go down or rather slow to a crawl, like one other I belong to and there is good passion here, so I thought I could at least try to chat with the gays if nothing else... and try to check in regularly, if possible to keep these cool places alive and going...

Thanks guys......

Calling him is a good idea, that may be the thing to do, just to make sure.... good call... I may do that as well... email at least...
-
He has for sure, I have bought some wheels and tires from him, and have been very happy with them
-
Thanks, for the info Brian, I just may try one myself...... still some trepidation though.....
-
HA !!! It worked THANKS... you ARE a computer whiz ! top drawer, thanks..... I am on Jamie's site now..... man I still learn new stuff everyday..... awesome !! Jeff
-
Thanks, I will have a look at that, BUT remember, I'm a truck driver, and not much of a computer whiz... 😉
-
and where do I look for that ? I had no idea...
-
EXCELLENT results................. I see you had the same guys fueling as we did where I worked............ perfect weathering and slopped fuel.. love it
-
Brian............ a couple of points here............ first is, I haven't commented on your absolutely spectacular build of the I conic B 61, precise build, and nailed the colors right on. The interior tub, is perfect, the color and very subtle wash, brought out the details exactly right, in my eye anyway, also............... I have had my eye on this kit and a couple conversions for years, but am a little intimidated by a full resin build.............obviously the quality is there and I have been to the AITM website hundreds of times..... the big question is, what did you use for the windshield glass, and was it difficult to make and install? And is the kit worth the cost..... I am in British Columbia, so for an $80.00 kit for example, it translates to almost $120.00 with exchange and shipping and what ever those wonderful guys at the border decide to charge me.... so I have or should be a bit sure of an expensive purchase.... but YOUR results are spectacular Jeff
-
That would be cool, Paul, but I am a little ways away from Maine.... British Columbia Canada.... I'd love to see a pic of your truck... Jeff
-
I just would like to be able to access it, and surely don't want Jamie to l9ose any sales...
-
It was , but it made a real truck driver out of a guy who was interested in learning it, nowadays, automatics, seem to be just 'steering' a truck, kind of seems, to me, the true skill is getting lost, but that is just me.... I used to love these two sticks... would like to try my hand at them again just for fun...
-
Thanks Brian, I hope to contribute some something of value from time to tine...
-
Thanks, I appreciate that
-
Thanks Paul, I'm looking forward to some good chit chat and maybe learning some stuff along the way..
-
HHMMM, I wonder if it is on his end?? Glad I'm not the only one.....

I can't access Jamies site, is anyone else having that issue, I am on Firefox, and I get this thing that comes up about X Frames or some computer jargon, anyway, there is no way I can get on his site....
