I'm looking for a 1:25 dump bed to convert a Mack DM 600 tractor into a dump truck.

I may have one from the Autocar dump trick kit and if trucker's memory is correct, I may have one in the tri-axle gravel trailer.  I would be willing to part with either if you are interested.  Let me know an I will dig them out and see if all the parts are there,

wow !  incredible !  I love that green needle nose pete !

Thanks!  I am partial to it as well.  I really need to do some more 3d stuff but I just can't seem to find the time.  Too many hobbies...

    All very cool!

That bullnose KW needs to happen, in model form. B|

I sent the guy from the Chez Republic, hoping that he still had one of the cabs available but I have not received a reply.  Maybe I can scratch build one using one of the re-pop CA haulers?

  6. I finally finished it...for now...  I may go back and touch up a few thing.

I built this truck for an online contest over at The Unfinished Big Rig Model Truck Club on Facebook.  I didn't fair as well in the voting as I hoped it would.  Maybe I'll do better next time.  Regardless, it was a great learning experience.

The concept was to create a resto-mod COE Freightliner. I started with a fresh AMT COE Freightliner Kit. All other lifted parts were salvaged from the parts box.
Chassis: Frame stretch using the rails from an AMT Peterbilt. Air ride suspension from an Italeri FLD 120
Engine: Cummins engine from an Italeri FLD 120 modified into an N14 (new heads, valve covers, fuel pump, etc.). Air to air setup was added to the radiator. Plumbing and hoses were built from the parts box and misc. wire. Clamps chrome sticker.
Cab: Scratch built visor. Snap Pete mirrors.
    Rear fenders: Scratch built.
    Fifth wheel: ROG Peterbilt.
Deck plates and rear light panel: scratch built from styrene
    Cab Steps: Scratch built.
Fuel tanks: Stretched using like tanks from parts box.
Air cleaners: ROG Peterbilt. Scratch built piping and parts box plumbing.
Stack tops: Tubing wrapped in chrome sticker.
    Air Lines: Earl Miller.
    Wheels and tires: Mobius.

So far, the Raider and GATR truck are rattle can.For the exhaust, it is round plastic rod, with an aluminum tube for the pipe. The clamps were just made from coated wire, bent around the aluminum tube, and attached with some flat plastic strip to the rollbar.

Thanks.  I'll file that away for future use.  :D

I think my uncle had one of these years back.  From what I remember, it had the same hood and stand up sleeper.  Could it have been an AT64F?  He still talks about it and how he wishes he had kept it.

  9. All,

I just upgraded the site's software.  Hopefully it will fix the intermittent server connection issues that we have been experiencing.  Please let me know how it's working/if you are experiencing any issues.

    Thanks!

Looks WAY better in person, though- in these pics it shows up way too light or way too dark. Once it's done I'll have to take the pics on a bright but slightly overcast day.

Looks great either way in my opinion.  I hate taking photos of models.  My photography skill (or lack there of) never does them justice.
