Chassis is coming along, with a 220" wheel base. I have the suspension on and need to finish some brackets, stiffening plating and add some Tiche bolts and rivets. Machined PVC down to the diameter I need for the fuel tanks and Uria tank. Made them slip fit into an other piece of PVC pipe which I will machine down the wall thickness to 3/64" than I'll use my micro saw to slice off 8 pieces to split for tank brackets. Last I started to rough up a MP7 Mack engine from an old R model block. Still need to cut off bell housing to make the "modern" style one and rough up a M-drive for it. I'll make it nice after all the major parts are fabbed up. The part I dread is the DPF and exhaust unit. Welcome! Trucks can be addictive, I had enough to last my life time but always find an other one I just have to buy. figure it'll keep me alive to finish them.

I lost last weekend with a 27 hour clean up of my OTR unit, this weekend is planned to be 100% bench time. Got a chassis to scratch build for my Terrapro and scale down plans to build the Mack Twin Y suspension. Busy, busy, busy!!

Very sweet work. Like the bridge and the COE Ford. Other are cool too. Paul

Full wiring, and plumbing, added the AC compressor to the engine and add on air on the sleeper rear panel made from a Revell 1932 Ford Street Rod radiator and misc bits from the parts stash. Made up a GPS unit on the top of the rear panel. Made fender mirrors and converted to single stack. Stripped a lot of chrome for a fleet look. Decals are Modeltruckin. Tomorrow morning is wash day for my Marmon to get the last storms crap off it, than since I just got the Evergreen channel I'll be starting to scratch build the chassis for my Mack Terrapro. Bread and butter unit comes first than the toys.

The non semis are on shelves with a pair of glass doors and I have a double shelf set up I'm building now that will go around the top of my "allowed" man room. Paul

Felt like doing something different than a tractor or a wrecker, so made a lumber delivery body. made up the truss load from bass wood with the straps made from ribbon from Wal Mart. Ton of little touches. Air extractors on hood sides, molded grill shell, quad lights. On the cab I enlarged the rear glass, made custom ram air cleaner. Stretched the chassis and machined a set of air line fittings into the frame cover. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

41CHEVY replied to Chariots of Fire's topic in Model Truck Show Room
All the builds are excellent! Partial to the GMC and the Binders though. Paul -
Looks pretty fairly priced purchase to me. I've bought a few similar deals like yours. Paul

Me too, with funnycars, gassers and FED Rails,

Saw this type of truck in photos a friend took while in Central Africa. Thought it would be a cool exercise in weathering and multiple color body panels. Apparently as long as they move any other item (like headlights) is a luxury. Paul Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
