heavy haul

Recommended Posts

I bought a bill signs at a real nice price.I've always liked that kit because of the spread tandem, the problem is I'm not that much of a pete fan. That being the case a few mods are in order.

Mack DM800 V8 and steering box

Mack DM600 wheels ,front and rear axles that have been narrowed

Will be a long hood RL700L

I like it.  My uncle owned a R700L years ago.  I rode many a mile in it and have loved them ever sense.  Please keep up updated.  I would be very interested to see what's involved in mounting the cab and hood to the frame.

Im not trying to be critical by any means, but to achieve what your looking to do, it would be much easier and more accurate to just put a spread axle air ride under an R model Mack kit. Using the Pete chassis will be a lot of work. The Mack frame rails would also be spread out at the front to fit the V8. No matter how, this will be a cool project.
