Going to be an awesome build !! Anyone remember back in the 70's when AMT was going to release a Garwood garbage truck? Was going to be on the Ford C600 chassis. I think it was 1975 or 1976, I'll dig out my old AMT brochure and get a pic

Hello, I've been absent from the hobbie for too long ! Been building models for 45 years, got into trucks 20 years ago and used to do a lot of scratch building, dump bodies, lowboys, etc. 2 projects on the bench that stalled are an Autocar AP40 and a Cat 983 track loader. Happy to be here , hopefully I wont pester anyone too much

Those are sweet ! The Astro was the very first truck kit I ever built back in the day

I actually bought a 1971 a few months ago, the company that had it let it set for several years and was going to scrap/crush it, a friend told me about it and I was able to pick it up dirt cheap ! It has a 3208 Cat with a 5 speed trans and 2 speed axle , they were using it as a yard tractor. Needs a complete restoration.
