Thanks Johnny! Thanks Victor! I’ve only seen a tread pattern like this once in an old picture of an old International. I picked up these drive tires from a supplier on Ebay. The sleeper has a button tuck bed cushion.

I truly don’t remember where the wheels and tires came from, but I probably picked them up second hand on Ebay. -
This is my current project. Amt 359 kit with Bill Drennen hood conversion. Power will be 8v-71 Detroit backed by a Spicer 4x4 transmission.

This is my new project. A 68 Dodge D800 dump. The Lindberg kit will donate many parts including the chassis, engine and transmission.

I think that you might be right Chuck.

Thanks Johnny!! There's probably a good chance that they ran recaps on the drives on a few trucks way back then. I know a lot of companies ran recaps on their trailers into the 90s. Thanks Victor! I've always thought the same thing about those tires.

I used the Ertl now AMT IH 4300 frame. Less fit issues than the KW and it was a close match. -
Thanks Johnny!

These trucks were used by CF to push trucks over Donner pass in the snow. I will start with the AMT kit. It has two options; a 63” daycab or a 86” sleeper cab. My reference truck appears to have the 72” cab. So that is where I am starting. 63” cab 86” cab: New 72” cab:

This one is built curbside, but I did rough together a 3116 Cat for it.
