AMT KW Kits

Recommended Posts

To all,

Hello and hope everyone is well. I have two AMT KW Conventional kits both bought within the last year. One purchased last May is the Alaskan Hauler, and the other is the W900 Challenge mixer. I know of the traditional issues involving the windows, and the rear suspension so that being said if anyone has built either, or both I could use pictures for reference on both of these kits. For the Alaskan I have already removed the left side air cleaner port, and filled in the holes for the left side exhaust stack. Have assembled the butterfly hood. Obviously I am going with the Hill & Hill livery. Just have to score the Green paint, and the Red paint. As far as the Challenge mixer goes I am unsure if I am building it as the mixer, or as an over the road tractor. If I go the tractor route I do have all the parts for a Mercury sleeper box. These in addition to the two AMT CO4070A's, and the Peterbilt 359 California Hauler in the stash should keep me busy. For a while. The true test is to avoid going on websites, or into Hobby Shops and picking anymore kits that I have no time to build. LOL. Thank you for looking.

Kind regards,

Jersee Jerry 55

Can’t offer any help, but may I suggest asking over at the Model Cars Magazine forum? It gets a lot more traffic and I’m sure there’s a truck guy over there that has built those kits.
