DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 26, 2022 I have been wanting to build this for a long time. I remember seeing these trucks on the road and at their shop. I back dated the cab a little. Powered by NH 230 Cummins.
vincen47 Posted January 26, 2022 Awesome job, and a pretty quick build, too. I’m impressed with the quality you achieve in the overall timeframe from start to finish. Though, instead of looking at the amount of days in total, I should probably consider that there is still a lot of hours involved. I love the paint scheme, simple, yet very classy, especially for a fleet truck. The treatment you gave the 5th wheel is great. Very realistic. And the AC unit, wow. The right windshield wiper is up, not sure if that’s intentional, or not. Any pics of the cab tilted? I’d love to see how the Cummins looks now that it’s in place, and most likely weathered a bit. Great build, as always. Keep ‘em coming!

I went back and looked at my interior pictures and only one wiper knob. Needless to say, that has been fixed and now they match.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) This one got an in-frame while in the body shop, so she’s pretty clean, shiny and new. Edited January 27, 2022 by DRIPTROIT

I actually thought it would be a super cool and unique detail you added if they had separate controls to have one of them stopped in the up position. Good conversation starter, nonetheless. A really nice build, and the single rear axle is a great feature along with the headlight mod. The Cummins looks good, thanks for the extra photos. It’s neat to see how trucks look with different engines than what was in the kit. Looks like the swap wasn’t too much trouble.

A lot of brands of trucks had separate motors and controls for the wipers and would stop where you turned them off, but evidently these didn’t. The engine swap did required a minor modification of the dog house and a custom front cross member.

Brian Dutz Posted February 18, 2022 Really looks great, Brian. Love the colors and the single axle. Fine job!
Johnny M Posted August 10, 2022 Wonderful. This model is so realistic that a normal person (not like us) would never know it wasn't an actual truck. Extra points for the little globs of dirt up on top of the air cleaner -- hehe -- that's what you get when you drive your clean truck home up your dirt driveway. Sweet.
