Brian Dutz Posted April 11, 2020 Here is the next project. It has been built for months. Needed to complete the camouflage paint, weather and build the Fruil tracks. The weathering and paint is complete. Need to build the tracks and weather them. I know this isn’t typical for these pages, just wanted to share another passion of my modeling. The kit depicts Wittmans last Tiger in Europe after DDay.
Brian Dutz Posted April 14, 2020 Thanks, Casey. Here are a few build updates. Weathering is complete. Starting the track build and weathering. All of the track pin holes had to be drilled out. It took about 3 hours to build both sets of tracks.
Chariots of Fire Posted May 4, 2020 Thanks for sharing. Linking the tracks together is quite the thing! Nice work!
Brian Dutz Posted May 6, 2020 Thank you. The metal tracks lay beautifully on the road wheels and give the model some weight. I have used resin single link track, magic track, and one piece track before but this was my first attempt at Fruil tracks. I would definitely use them again. 41CHEVY Posted May 20, 2020 Very nice build. Did the kit come with the zimmerit or did you add it? The Frui tracks make a big difference on all armor especially T34's IMO. Making up a set for a 251 UHU conversion on the bench. Paul
Brian Dutz Posted May 24, 2020 Thank you. The kit had the molded on zimmerit. That was my first set of Fruil tracks and I will definitely use them again. I have a UHU. In my stash. Hope to see pics if you have time.
