  1. Add to my winter list a pair of AMT Cat Dozers and the AMT heavy flatbed trailer.
  2. Picked up a pair of Autocar dumps and plan on building one of my real units. The second build is a stretched cab Mack Cruiseliner with Mack twin turbo V10. Up here in Maine where I am the 3 days of summer is due to arrive on Monday. :)
  3. Nice work and cool project. I worked for Walton P Davis in Locust Valley L.I. N.Y. in 1973 and they had a few dozen of them and ran horses and Moving trailers up and down the east coast. All V8 powered and ran with trucks with "real" engines quite easily. The issue like the Allis Chalmers "Big Als" was lack of service facilities.

    My KW W900A Aerodyne

I like the pearl white color. Your weathering on the Cat is very realistic and well done. Going to be a sharp model when it is all finished. Paul

    K.W. COE Hot Rod

Had this and two other K.W.'s out of the case for dusting. Here is the Revel Kenworth K100. Chassis is stretched cab is 2 combines and the 16/92 was copied from a similar powered Bonneville F350 pick up truck racer Allison Automatic from Auslowe, Stacks are K&S Aero Struts for R/C aircraft. Decking is polished .010 roof valley sheathing. Decals are home made and paint is ancient Cal Custom Peach Pearl. Paul

    1978 Dodge D100

Started out to build my '88 D150 I bought new (41000 miles) but things are different. Cab roof, hood are major different but the least least issue is the grill. Whipped out the Revell Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 and low and behold it is 1/24 So decided to make a D100 with the 1990 two tone of Viper Blue and Silver. Thought lets really step out of the box and make it a 225 Slant Six and a Heavy Duty 4 speed. Paul

    1970 Ford F100 4x4

  9. Anther out for dusting. Built from the Bill Signs kit and the K100 kit. From bumper and Roo bar is from the Italeri Scanna Wrecker and AMT Alaskan Hauler K.W. which I made functional. Wheels are from un known resin caster maybe White Fang from Oz?

    1970 Ford F100 4x4

Started this kits kind of half hardheartedly because the box art build made it look meh! Here it is after hiding in the AC all week end. Tires are a set of Shabo Desert Duelers I've had for ages. I shaved off the nubs on the wheels and added a .020 strip around the wheel to hold the tires. Paul Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

    1966 Ford F100

Got the chassis and engine done. Tires are from the AMT Econoline van and fit the Moebius rims perfectly. Added plumbing to the 240 c.i. six and used the optional chrome MoJoc's. Paul Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  14. Moebius kit build to be from the time when Ford made OTR and farm tractors. Added full engine compartment details, made up dual exhaust because nothing sounds better than an 352 FE with glass packs! Paint is 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Yellow and decals are from 1970 F100 4x4 kit. Tools in bed are scratch built.
  15. Great kits, I grab them when ever I see them. I must have about 50 Michelin men and 25 of the Fruit of the Loom chefs. most every truck in Europe has at least 2 Michelin men on it some where.
  16. After building one I found a few interesting things. The Utility Body fits all trucks with an 8 foot bed. BUT if you reverse the front and back ends it now will fit a 6 foot short bed truck. Windshield install is trying, I found part of the issue is the thickness of the front 'A' pillars isn't consistent, the right side on both the 60's and 70's cabs is thicker. I sanded both down to be thinner, slightly radius-ed the side "gasket" on the windshield and from the front popped the top in and than slightly deflected the cowl (No firewall in place) and popped the bottom in from the front. Seems to work easier than the install from the back as per instructions. Worked on the 1965 and the 1970 kits. Paul

    67 Freightliner

That is a beautiful build and the paint is great, I saw those all the time when I first went OTR. Golden age of trucking IMO. Paul

    1980 Volvo N10

Beautiful job! It is one of my grail kits. The oil company my uncle worked at had these and Macks as their tanker home delivery units. Paul

    1966 Ford F100

All done only one minor issue and I'm also having it in the 1970 F100 4x4. is the windshield fits so tight that I had to relieve the cab opening and sand the windshield flange area down. Like I said very minor. Paint is Royal Blue enamel from Ace Hardware.bed wood is a decal from Gofer Decals. Part Box Louisville

I shot for the look of a unit assembled from basically spare parts. Kind of thing that will earn money with minimal investment. Louisville chassis and cab, Cummins Non Turbo, Fuller trans, Mercury sleeper and early Pete Air ride. Biggest mods was the dog house to clear the Cummins. Paul
